
The First Lady of Enugu State, Her Excellency Mrs. Nkechinyere Mbah, has applauded the impactful strides of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) following the successful completion of its nationwide Women ICT Training and Empowerment Programme, with the South-East edition recently held in Owerri, Imo State.
According to the First Lady, eight women from Enugu State were selected to participate in the transformative training, which focused on equipping them with essential digital literacy and entrepreneurial skills needed to thrive in today’s technology-driven world.
Mrs. Mbah revealed that the women visited her office to express their gratitude for the rare opportunity to be part of the programme. She shared that they recounted how the capacity-building sessions broadened their understanding of technology and strengthened their ability to drive productivity, business growth, and financial independence.
She noted that the week-long training covered computer operations, online business management, and digital marketing, enabling the women to compete more effectively in the rapidly evolving digital landscape. Each participant also received a brand-new laptop, cash grant, and additional learning materials to support their continued growth and practical application of ICT skills.
Mrs. Mbah extended profound appreciation to Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu, First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, whose unwavering commitment to women and youth empowerment continues to make measurable impact across health, education, social welfare, and economic enhancement.
She praised Senator Tinubu’s vision for fostering a more inclusive and prosperous Nigeria, describing it as a source of inspiration and a catalyst for hope and national transformation.
The Enugu First Lady reaffirmed her dedication to supporting programmes that uplift women and strengthen families, noting that initiatives like the RHI ICT training remain critical to building a modern, skilled, and economically empowered society.
