Enugu SME Launches Bold New Incubation Program to Build the Next Generation of Startup Founders

Enugu is taking a giant leap toward becoming Nigeria’s next big innovation powerhouse as the Enugu Startup Incubation Program (ESIP) officially opens applications for its latest cohort — a move directly inspired by Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah’s vision to transform the state into a continental hub for technology, entrepreneurship, and high-growth enterprises.

In a state where big dreams often begin on a blank page, ESIP is providing the structure, strategy, and support that turn rough ideas into thriving companies. The initiative is powered by a formidable coalition led by the Enugu MSME & Startup Agency (Enugu SME Center), working in partnership with the Startup Development Centre (SDC), B4B Network, and Capitis Global Ventures Limited. Together, they are building an ecosystem where young innovators can grow with confidence, speed, and global relevance.

Designed as a rigorous six-week journey, the program offers founders a complete roadmap — from ideation to investment readiness. Participants are guided by experienced mentors and industry experts to validate and refine their ideas, design scalable business models, understand customers, gain market traction, and craft compelling investor-ready pitches. The curriculum blends hands-on workshops, strategy sessions, and practical exercises to ensure every founder emerges stronger, sharper, and prepared to build sustainably.

Organizers say the program is intentionally crafted for both emerging and existing founders who need structure and clarity to scale. Whether an idea is still forming or already taking shape, ESIP provides the tools to transform it into a real, investible business rooted in Enugu but ready for the world.

“If you’ve ever thought, ‘This idea can become something big…’ this is your moment,” the program announcement reads, capturing the excitement building across the state’s fast-rising tech community. “The future belongs to those who build it.”

Applications are now open, with a training fee of ₦175,000. Interested founders can apply through: enugusme.en.gov.ng/esip.
